Which service

Which water damage service fits your situation

Almost every job starts with water extraction: pumping and vacuuming the liquid water out of floors, carpet and basements. It is followed by structural drying, where air movers and dehumidifiers run until walls, framing and subfloor are back to normal. Wood floors get specialist hardwood floor drying.

Some causes have their own pages. Flooded basement cleanup covers groundwater, storm water and finished lower levels, and sump pump failure cleanup covers pits that overflowed. Burst pipe water damage covers frozen and failed lines, and sewage backup cleanup covers drains and toilets that backed up. Mold prevention after water damage explains how to stop growth before it starts.

Each service page explains how the work is done step by step, what can usually be saved, what homeowners can safely do themselves, how Connecticut housing changes the job and what to ask before work starts. Sources are listed at the bottom of every page.

If you are not sure which applies, describe the situation on the call. The contractor will usually combine several of these services into one plan, in the right order, and explain it before work begins.
